Hi, I'm Solace Francine Sabado
I can lead and execute UX end to end.
User Experience Program Manager| Researcher | Designer
My goal is to create products & services that improve people's everyday lives through meaningful & delightful user experiences. Like my name implies, "Solace" which is synonymous to comfort, cheer and support, I passionately employ my creativity & user empathy in identifying user problems and come up with innovative & practical solutions.
I am currently a UX Program Manager at Google and a volunteer Researcher for WITOps (non-profit advocating for Women in Tech). In 2019, I completed my Master's in Human Computer Interaction (HCIM) at the University of Maryland. While pursuing my graduate studies, I was the Graduate / Research Assistant of our HCIM program and the co-founded UMD's first UX student organization.
I also worked as a UX Researcher intern for The New York Times.
Prior to Graduate School, I worked as an Technical Program Manager for 9 years, most of those years handling global roles at the Procter & Gamble Company .
I am a very disciplined & dedicated athlete and a passionate & adventurous wanderer. I have raced more than 30 Olympic & Sprint distance triathlons, 3 consecutive 70.3 (113km) Ironmans, finished 2 full 26 miles (42 km) marathons and 15 half marathons . I enjoy playing football, and was part of our High School Varsity team and P&G's Football Club. I also like watching Basketball, especially the NBA. Outside of sports, I also love travelling, visiting art galleries, designing logos and invites for friends, performing, watching movies, playing board games and discovering hidden specialty coffee shops. In my free time, I also engage in volunteer work for non-profit organizations related to women in tech, children, education, persons with disability and the elderly.
